The other thing is that your alternator is going to charge that trailer battery alot quicker through heavy gauge wire than smaller wire through the trailer plug and if your battery on the trailer isn't fully charged when hooked to the truck if you run it through the trailer plug and the truck is shutoff it will keep drawing down the batteries on the truck because it is a 12v hot connection. With good gauge wire and use of all batteries you will know that the winch will have power no matter what. If you depend on your 12v connection through the trailer plug to keep the battery charged it may or may not keep it fully charged depending on how often you use the trailer and how far your drive is. Go overkill, If you do it the way I said you won't have to worry about the one battery on the trailer holding up. So the only cost I would be out to do it that way would be w couple of marine terminals, battery box, and fuses. I like the idea of 3 batteries powering the winch instead of one that will depleat quickly. I like overkill! and I already have the wire and quick connects from my old CB days. I've looked in behind the dash.not something I wanna tackle.:bang:kick: They do not come on with the dash dimmer switch.nor does the dash dim or brighten ANY. The 7 flat on the reciever hitch was hooked up, BUT it had multiple wires hooked up to it that were all "running lights" :what:Īnd the icing on the cake.the dome light and map lights do not come on with the door. There was a 7 flat plug under a drop in bed liner in the bed.not hooked up? :what: The PO before him did some hack job wiring that my buddy wasn't even aware of. I bought the truck from a buddy of mine that had it for a few years.

i cant tell you where it is on your truck On my xhevy the hot wire is rolled up in the loom taped to it below fuse box. While most of the RV and overland vehicles in the marketplace are still using technologies developed in the 1950s, EarthRoamer has advanced to crafting with. the hot will be the large white wire, and it may already be hooked up up front.i believe its on the top to the right and the ground is bottom to the left., the large black wire is the ground.
